As I mark a half year in office as High Sheriff, I have continued to undertake duties in all three areas of the role.

• Upholding the Crown & the Judiciary including promoting inter faith and belief relations, and supporting the role of Lord-Lieutenant 

• • convened and hosted meetings with Under Sheriff and High Sheriffs in nomination
  • spoke at MK based leadership conference for black leaders.
  • attended thank you event for retiring CEO of My MK
  • joined the Lord-Lieutenant and DLS at a visit to Garsington.
  • attended commemoration of Battle of Britain at All Saints Church High Wycombe
  • attended High Sheriff of Hertfordshire’s Annual Reception
  • met with organisers of UK Art Exhibition and viewed exhibition in MK Library
  • conducted several planning meetings and undertook visits in relation to Quaker Meeting for Worship at Jordans to mark the start of the legal year.
  • held a successful Quaker Meeting for Worship at Jordans to mark the start of the legal year.

• Supporting and promoting the work of the police, probation, prison, emergency, and crime prevention services 

• • observed the work of the Family Drug and Alcohol Courts (FDAC) in Milton Keynes

• Convening and championing the voluntary public and business sectors – focussing on Domestic and Sexual Violence, Violence against Women & Gurls (VAWG) and building sustainable communities

• • took part in commemoration of World Day of Peace at MK Rose
  • visited MK Women’s Centre for official opening.
  • continued detailed planning with a meeting on 6 Sept for the VAWG late autumn conference on 24 November 2023
  • attended MK Parks Trust AGM and Open Meeting
