In position 2009 – 2010

Allan is married, with 3 children, and has lived in Butlers Cross nr Wendover since1997.Allan spent his career in the UK drinks industry before fully retiring in 2016. He was High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire in 2009/10 and later became a Deputy Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire in July 2015.

My time as High Sheriff

  • Project visits with Bucks Community Foundation & Milton Keynes Community Foundation
  • Attending many Church Services around the County.
  • The National High  Sheriff Church Service & Dinner at Middle Temple
  • My own High Sheriff Justice Service in Amersham
  • Attending Justice Services of 3 neighbouring High Sheriffs
  • Attending The Royal Household Cricket match at Frogmoor and being introduced to Her Majesty.
  • Attending the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
  • In attendance at 3 Royal visits.
  • Visits to Woodhill , Grendon & Springhill and Aylesbury YOI prisons.
  • The Judiciary lunch Hartwell House arranged by me as the High Sheriff for 30 members of the Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Judiciary.
  • 3 Visits to Bletchley Park.
  • Participating in 6 Citizenship Ceremonies
  • Various Award Ceremonies for volunteers and members of the public living in Buckinghamshire.
  • Several Police Station visits – especially “11 million Take Over” day.
  • Day spent at R A F High Wycombe & dinner afterwards with the Station Commander.
  • Day attending a Passing Out Parade at R A F Halton.
  • Full day Briefing at Bucks County Council.

And last but not least!

  • Organising & attending the marriage of my daughter in December 2009!
