I was enormously surprised when I was invited to be High Sheriff and even more surprised to find I enjoyed my year as much as I did. Having been a mature student I was keen to support all aspects of later learning as well as the numerous worthy causes in Bucks. I learnt a lot and relished the chance to meet so many wonderful people. What little good I may have during that year was outstripped by the amount of good being High Sheriff did me.
